Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of TopScore AI.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, downloading the app, or otherwise using TopScore AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.
2. Description of the service
TopScore AI provides an AI-assisted tutoring experience, including guided explanations, curriculum-vetted diagrams, practice quizzes, flashcards, a resource library, and live voice tutoring, aligned to the CBC, 8-4-4/KCSE, and Cambridge IGCSE curricula. The Service is a study aid and does not replace formal schooling, examinations, or a qualified teacher's judgment.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know immediately at admin@topscoreapp.ai if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
- The Basic plan is free indefinitely, with usage limits described in the app.
- Weekly Scholar (KES 300/week) and Monthly Scholar (KES 1,000/month) plans each open with a 7-day free trial of Premium features.
- Unless cancelled before the trial ends, paid plans renew automatically at the listed price until you cancel.
- You can cancel anytime from within the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or intended to harass others, and not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. AI-generated content and accuracy
TopScore AI's explanations, practice questions, and search-grounded answers are generated or assisted by AI systems and checked against curriculum sources where possible, but they may occasionally be incomplete or contain errors. Always cross-check critical exam-preparation material against your official syllabus and teacher guidance.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its design, and its curriculum-vetted diagram library are the property of TopScore AI or its licensors. You retain ownership of anything you submit (such as photographed questions), and grant us a limited licence to process it in order to provide the Service.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or misuse the Service.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee specific exam results or uninterrupted availability, particularly given variable network conditions across Kenya.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TopScore AI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
